The National Instruments USB-8470 Series 1-port USB CAN and LIN interface is designed to provide a high-speed USB interface for connecting a PC to a Controller Local Area Network (CAN) or Local Interconnect network (LIN) networks and devices. The National Instruments USB-8470 Series 1-port USB CAN and LIN interfaces are available in optional hardware sync versions and will be equipped with a three-pin COMBICON sync connector. With this connector, users CAN use 1 MHz, 10 MHz, or 20 MHz clocks to synchronize the internal hardware timebase with other devices such as USB CAN; USB LIN; And National Instruments data acquisition, motion and vision hardware. This form of synchronization will eliminate clock drift between devices and support triggering between devices to associate CAN data with data from other devices.
