Product Description:
The 86100A Infiniium DCA wideband oscilloscope is three high-performance instruments in one. It is a universal wide band oscilloscope, digital communication analyzer and time domain reflectometer.
The 86100A is a powerful measurement system for high-speed optical communications, TDR characterization, and semiconductor testing of circuit boards, providing comprehensive measurement capabilities and support for wideband applications and electrical signals in fiber optics.
The 83485A is a photoelectric module. It consists of two measurement channels, one optical and one electronic. Each channel has two selectable bandwidth Settings. The noise performance of the oscilloscope is excellent in the low-bandwidth mode at 12.4 GHz, while the fidelity to the high-speed signal is higher in the low-bandwidth mode at 20 GHz.
The integrated optical channel reduces the variation in mismatch loss by eliminating the signal distortion cables and connectors associated with the use of an external receiver in order to accurately characterize the optical waveform. The optical channels were calibrated at 1310nm and 1550nm to provide an accurate display of the received optical waveform in optical power units and measured signal average power. In addition, the user cal characteristics also provide consistent accuracy for any wavelength between 1200nm and 1600nm using the power supply and power meter.
