The N8976B high-performance noise factor analyzer enables fast, accurate and repeatable noise factor measurements. It has a multi-touch interface that allows for stretching, pinching and dragging gestures. Most menus can be accessed with a finger click without changing the screen. Simplifies noise source calibration for Y-factor measurements, allowing for combined calibration of up to 12 DUT Settings in one step. Many types of DUTs can be saved valuable test time by using the internal calibration function, which does not require the user to perform calibration.
With built-in expertise, easy-to-use features, and a best-in-class USB preamplifier, the N8976B helps you set up complex measurements simply and easily, providing you with repeatable and reliable results you can trust while minimizing the overall uncertainty of noise figure measurement challenges. The built-in noise figure uncertainty calculator can be pre-filled with data from SNS noise sources, USB preamplifiers, and all necessary instrument parameters such as analyzer noise figure, gain and noise figure uncertainty, and matching. The default noise figure setting allows simultaneous noise figure and gain measurements. Multiple measurements including noise factor, noise factor, y-factor, gain, P-hot, P-cold, and T-effective can be viewed simultaneously in tabular form by using the tabular view.
