The N8975B High performance noise factor analyzer is ideal for fast, accurate and repeatable noise system measurements. When used with the SNS series noise source and U7227 series USB preamplifier, the N8975B can automatically download the SNS ENR data as well as the USB preamplifier data. The N8975B's multi-touch interface supports gestures such as zooming in, shrinking, and dragging and dropping. Most menus can be accessed by touching the screen with a finger without having to switch screens.
The integrated calibration allows up to 12 devices under test to be set up in one step, significantly simplifying noise source calibration in Y-factor measurements. The internal calibration function saves valuable test time by eliminating the need for user calibration when testing various types of devices under test.
The built-in noise figure uncertainty calculator prefills data from SNS noise sources, USB preamplifiers, and all necessary instrument parameters, such as analyzer noise figure, gain, and noise figure uncertainty, as well as matching. The default noise figure setting provides both noise figure measurement and gain measurement that can be performed simultaneously. In the Table view, you can view multiple measurements simultaneously in tabular form, including noise factor, noise factor, Y factor, gain, thermal power (Phot), cold power (Pcold), and effective temperature (Teffective).
