Product Introduction:
Using option 010 (time domain option), FieldFox can reverse Fourier transform frequent-domain data to show reflection or transmission coefficients over time. Time-domain gating reduces invalid responses, such as connector mismatches or cable outages, and the results can be displayed in time or frequency domains.
The analyzer uses Fourier changes similar to time domain reflectometer (TDR) measurements. TDR measurement refers to inputting a pulse or step into the test device and observing the time domain response using a receiver similar to an oscilloscope. In contrast, FieldFox performs sweep response measurements, using mathematics to convert the data into a display similar to a time domain reflectometer.
