Description
The R&S®ZVA series is very suitable for high-demand measurements in laboratories and production processes, from filter measurements that require the largest dynamic range to linear and non-linear measurements on amplifiers, mixers, receivers, and transceivers.
R&S®ZVA has set milestone after milestone, suitable for the most challenging applications:
The first VNA with four internal sources (up to 67 GHz), suitable for fast two-tone measurements on amplifiers and mixers
The first VNA that can generate phase-coherent signals (up to 67 GHz)
The first VNA with an IF bandwidth of up to 30 MHz, suitable for pulse measurements on amplifiers and mixers up to 110 GHz
For R&S®ZVA, every two ports share a signal source. In addition, four source models are applicable to R&S®ZVA24 and R&S®ZVA40. For R&S®ZVA67, each port has a signal source. The special switch arrangement facilitates parallel signal output, that is, the signal can be simultaneously output to the DUT through all ports. In addition, you can also choose direct signal source access and direct receiver access. This concept provides many advantages regarding measurement speed and functionality.
The above design features make R&S®ZVA an analyzer with unprecedented performance and functions, with the four-port model being the most typical. The highlights are as follows:
Use an additional source as the LO for quick mixer measurements
Generate swept two-tone signals for fast intermodulation measurements compared to frequency or power
Make true differential measurements on balanced DUTs
Parallel signal output and measurement at the test port to measure two or more DUTs at the same time.
Direct signal source access/direct receiver access (option), in order to achieve the following operations, such as:
-
Loop the preamplifier to the generator channel
-
Loop the attenuator to the receiver channel
-
For example, to perform antenna measurements, connect an external test device (such as a power amplifier) or use an analyzer as a multi-channel receiver
